Elkhart/USA -Die Polizei einer Kleinstadt im US-Staat Indiana ist auf der Suche nach einer zweifelhaften Wohltäterin. Die Frau lieferte in der Feuerwache von Elkhart am 23. Dezember ein Paket mit Weihnachtsplätzchen ab, nach deren Verzehr elf Feuerwehrleute erkrankten. Wie sich anschließend bei einem Drogentest herausstellte, enthielten die Kekse Marihuana. «Ich weiß nicht, was ihre Absicht war», sagte Polizeisprecher Steven Mock am Montag über die unbekannte Spenderin. «Aber man kann wohl kaum davon ausgehen, dass sie es versehentlich gemacht hat.» Der Feuerwehrverband hat eine Belohnung von 1.000 Dollar (rund 2.100 Mark) für Hinweise ausgesetzt, die zur Ergreifung der Frau führen.
