Wenn du wegschiebst
was außer dir ist auf der Welt.
Schiebst du etwas vom Besten an dir
dein Gewissen weg.
Und wer sein Gewissen wegschiebt,
wird nicht glücklich.
Er verdorrt vor der Zeit.
Dabei ist uns zugedacht,
daß an uns etwas wächst
und blüht und gedeiht.
Vielleicht keine Orangen
Aber die Frucht eines liebenden Herzens.

Vielleicht brauchen wir manchmal
Einen solchen Hinweis nötiger als Trost,
damit wir erkennen,
was in uns gedeihen soll,
und damit wir
indem wir die Augen öffnen
und das Notwendige tun,
dem Sinn unseres Weges begegnen.
