Der gigantischste Christbaum der Welt steht auf der Insel Tasmanien (süd-östlich von Australien). Er misst 80 Meter Höhe und ist ein Eucalyptus Regnans, ein Riesen-Eucalyptus. Er war mit 3000 Lichtern geschmückt. Der Weihnachtsbaum im Bild stand 2007 in Erfurt.

141.000 Haushalte könnten wir ein Jahr lang mit dem Strom für unsere Weihnachts-Deko versorgen. Die Kosten hierfür summieren sich auf 77 Millionen Euro. LED-Lämpchen sollen beim Sparen helfen.
